West Somerset Lagoon – £11bn tidal power arc from Minehead to Watchet

Saw this on the Guardian, the London Eye architect wants to build a 14 mile tidal barrage off the Somerset coast. 125 turbines, 2.5GW, cycle path on top, observation tower, all that. Drew it out here very roughly because I wanted to see where it actually sits.

Sounds like, it's still very much a "wouldn't it be nice" kind of proposal.
